Today we followed the Gospel reading and read the children the story of Jesus, when he was twelve years old and attending a wedding. As you know, they ran out of wine, and Jesus turned six jugs of water into what was described as the "finest wine."For our project, we had the kids draw jugs out of orange construction paper. We used a hole punch and paper reinforcers to make holes in the jug handles. We then had them add blue paper to one side of each jug, and red to the other, to represent water and wine. We then helped to string them up on yarn, and allowed the kids to retell the story with their new props.
